Raichur: ATM robbery attempt fails as alarm goes off

Raichur: Unidentified persons attempted robbery at the Central Bank ATM in Raichur’s Sirwar on Tuesday night , but had to flee without any cash after an inbuilt alarm system went off.
The culprits tried to break open the ATM machine after meddling with the surveillance camera placed here. However, an emergency alarm attached to the machine went off and an alert was transmitted to the bank headquarters.
The bank officials informed the police who arrived at the spot but the thieves had fled by then.
On Wednesday morning a team of police officials along with fingerprint experts arrived at the spot and conducted an inspection.
A case has been registered at Sirwar station
