Raveendra Shetty’s new book “Namma Mangaluru” to be released at DKDWJU’s meet

Mangaluru: ‘Namma Mangaluru – Mangaluru Mahanagara Palikeya Samagra Nota’ (Our Mangaluru – A comprehensive look at Mangaluru City Corporation), a book authored by journalist B Raveendra Shetty will be released by by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in presence of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade during the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union conference on March 7 here.
B Raveendra Shetty is the chief sub-editor of ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ Kannada daily.
The book details a short history of the Dakshina Kannada district; Mangaluru’s administration; city’s growth; all the elections held for the city’s corporation; facilities available for the citizens and information of all the public places of interest in the city.
Deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayan, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, minister for tourism C T Ravi, MLAs D Vedavyas Kamath and Dr Bharath Shetty and Karnataka State Journalists Union president Shivananda Tagadur will also be present for the event.
