Renault Triber, the new sub-4m seven-seater is likely to be unveiled on June 19, 2019, which will be the car’s global debut too. The launch will be around the festive season of this year. Renault will position the Triber above the Kwid hatchback and below the Duster SUV.

Triber is based on a new modified version of Renault Kwid’s CMF-A platform which could make it the most spacious car in its segment. It will be quite long as well since it will be featuring a tall-boy stance with a longer wheelbase. The car will feature new headlights with LED DRLs, a new V-shaped chrome grille and chrome inserts on the bumper.

The interior will get a dual-tone colour scheme, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, removable AC vent for the third row of seats along with the standard safety features including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a speed warning system. The steering wheel and other controls will be shared with Renault Captur SUV.

Mechanically, the Triber will be getting the same 1.0-litre petrol engine of the Kwid hatchback, in a re-tuned version. The engine will hence make a better output of around 7hp excessive power. Power to the wheels will be transmitted via a 5-speed Manual gearbox while a 5-speed AMT gearbox is likely to be offered later.

To be priced affordably in the range of Rs.5.3 lakhs to Rs.8 lakhs, the all-new Renault Triber will take on the likes of Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza.
