
RTI activist alleges threat to life; police officials begin probe

Bengaluru: RTI activist Anil Kumar has alleged that he is being repeatedly threatened by goons as he unearthed the scam in the Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) and BBMP
Kumar who is the chief of NaMo Samaj South India took the matter legally in court and also sought details through RTI.
It is said that on January 5, Kumar went to KREDL and BBMP office and sought information regarding the scam through RTI which involved many powerful politicians.
Later, he was asked to return on January 16 for the information. But instead he went on January 22, as soon as he left the office, a gang of rowdies went to the office and enquired about Anil Kumar. They also went to the office of NaMo Samaj and threatened his associates
Police officials claim that the information of Anil’s visit to the office was given by someone inside the office.
