Savarkar photo row: Two student groups engage in violent fight inside college in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Two student groups entered into a violent clash in a college in Mangaluru on Friday over a photograph of V D Savarkar hanged in the classroom without permission.
It is said that the two student groups engaged in a violent scuffle during the lunch break. The students hurled abuses and also attacked each other.
The brawl resulted in minor injuries to a few students who have now been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Following this, the city police commissioner Shashi Kumar visited the college.
