Sea claims teenager at Paramlpalli

Brahmavar: A young boy met watery grave after a huge wave dragged him into the sea at Paramlpalli near Saligrama in the taluk on Wednesday October 2. The deceased is identified as Vikas (14), son of Krishna Poojary from Parampalli, who was an eighth standard student of Viveka Boys High School Kota.

Since it was a school holiday on Wednesday on account of Gandhi Jayanti, Vikas had gone near the sea located a little away from his home for undertaking fishing activity with fishing rod in the afternoon. During this activity, a sudden huge unexpected wave took Vikas into the sea with it.

The incident was witnessed by local fishermen who rushed to the rescue of the boy and shifted him to the hospital. However, the teenager failed to respond to the given treatment and breathed his last. Kota police have registered a case of unnatural death in this concern. Vikas is survived by parents and a brother.
