Shimoga: Principal of pvt school loses Rs 48 lakhs on Facebook

Shimoga: A headmistress of a private school at Sagar has registered a complaint at Shimoga Cyber Crime Police Station stating that she has been cheated of Rs 48 lakhs by a person she friended on Facebook.
A Facebook post seeking donations to run a school was posted by a person named Haida.
Another person on Facebook Mark W Donald sent a friend request to the headmistress and sought help in converting foreign currency to Indian Rupees to donate to the school.
The headmistress has transferred Rs 47.84 lakhs to Donald’s account in the past three months.
