Shivamogga: Three suspects arrested for plotting murder

Shivamogga: Three suspects, who were allegedly plotting the assassination of a Hindu activist, were taken into custody, police said.

The three accused, identified as Salman, Arbaaz, and Uman, were behaving suspiciously in the Mehboob Nagar area of Shivamogga and were detained by the Doddapete police for questioning.

During the questioning, the alleged murder plot came to light, police said.

A medical examination of the trio at the McGann Hospital showed that they were high on Ganja, police said.

The accused were tracking the movements of a person believed to be a member of a Hindu outfit. A case has been registered in this regard in the Doddapete police station.

Meanwhile, it has come to light the accused were also involved in a death threat case. They had recently accosted the brother of a Hindu activist near the New Mandli area. They had allegedly issued death threats. A case is also registered in this matter at Doddapete police station.
