Beltangady: A college student allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison after a girl rejected his love proposal.
The deceased identified as Sandeep, a resident of Dharmasthala was studying in a private college in Ujire.
As per reports, Sandeep and the girl were acquainted with each other. However heeding to her parents’ advice, the girl began maintaining a distance from Sandeep and refused to accept his love proposal.
Unable to deal with the refusal, Sandeep consumed poison. He was rushed to the hospital, but could not be saved.
Dharmasthala police registered a case in this regard.
