Sullia: One arrested for harassing woman on KSRTC bus

Sullia: A man from Kasaragod has been arrested for harassing a woman passenger on a KSRTC bus.

The accused, identified as Vishnu Mohan was arrested by Bellare police.

The action comes after the woman posted about the incident on social media tagging senior police officials. The woman said that a man had behaved indecently while traveling on a KSRTC bus from Puttur. While alighting the bus, the man handed her a note with a phone number and made a sign indicating the woman to call him.

Acting on the post, police officials directed Bellare police to investigate the matter. The police also contacted the woman to file a formal complaint.

The accused was identified after an investigation, arrested, and produced before the court.
