Sullia: Police officials have arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife and stuffing her body in a gunny bag in Sullia.

The arrested accused has been identified as Imran Sheikh, a native of West Bengal. He was taken into custody by Sullia police with the help of West Bengal police.

Imran was working in a hotel in Sullia and was living in a rented house  in Beeramangala for the past seven months

A few days ago, he informed his employer that he would be returning to his native place. Suspicions were raised after he did not take his wife along with him.

Neighbors also heard screams coming from his house the day before he left. Later, when the police broke the door and entered his house, they found Imran’s wife’s mortal remains inside a gunny bag.
