Sumalatha to hold mega-convention on April 16

Mandya: As a show of strength, Sandalwood actress and Mandya Lok Sabha Independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh has decided to organised a Mega convention in Mandya city on April 16 when the campaign concludes.

Speaking to the presspersons with this regard she said tha she would make an appeal to voters of the district at the proposed convention to support her to fulfil the dreams of her husband late Ambareesh.

She falso informed that Ambareesh’s fans are also planning to hold a bike rally to draw people’s attention.

The convention will be attened by the two star campaigners, Darshan Tugudeepa and Yash, producer-director Rockline Venkatesh and actor Doddanna, she informed.

She further alleged that JD(S) leaders led by CM H.D. Kumaraswamy were misusing the government machinery to defeat her and were targeting her with remarks made in bad taste besides threatening her supporters with cases.

After she expressed fears of a threat to her life Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar has sought a report on the security provided to her . A notice with this regard has been served to DG and IGP Ms Neelamani Raju asking her to furnish a reply within a day.
