Bengaluru: The Supreme Court will hear the plea by the Congress and the JD(S) on Saturday morning testing Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala’s choice to name K.G. Bopaiah, a generally junior MLA, as the pro-tem Speaker.

Advocate Dev Dutt Kamat, who has documented the plea, told journalists at the Supreme Court that the plea was recorded at 7.45 p.m and has been leaned to be heard by a seat of Justice A.K. Sikri, Justice S.A. Bobde and Justice Ashok Bhushan at 10.30 a.m on Saturday.

He said the Supreme Court has passed scriptures against Bopaiah for acting in a fanatic way and precluding MLAs who had before rebelled against then Chief Ministere B.S. Yeddyurappa.

Bopaiah is to direct the floor test on Saturday to find out whether recently delegated Chief Minister Yeddyurappa demonstrates a majority in the assembly.

At night, a group of Congress leaders landed at the Supreme Court to document the petition.

The Congress has fought that Bopaiah isn’t the senior-most part in the recently chose House and according to the parliamentary rules, it is just the senior-most part regarding number of times he has been chosen to the Assembly who can be an pro-tem Speaker.
