
Techie sentenced for 10 years in drug dealing case

Bengaluru: A 28-year-old techie was convicted on Tuesday for possessing narcotic drugs, condemning him to 10 years of rigorous punishment and a fine of Rs 1.85 lakh.
The 33rd Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge and Special Judge for NDPS cases rebuffed Venkat Subramaniam under three areas of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and his correctional facility sentence was to run simultaneously for 10 years altogether. The case was demonstrated certain in court.
Subramaniam is a local of Coimbatore, who worked for Accenture. He was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths from his home in Vignana Nagar in Bengaluru on June 23, 2015. The sleuths seized contraband narcotic party drugs from his residence, including cocaine, LSD blotter papers, LSD crystals, MDMA, marijuana and hashish, besides Rs 3.45 lakh in cash.
NCB sleuths said that Subramaniam was a drug addict and was gathering opiate substances from different sources.The sleuths had data that a drug dealer was contraband substances from Subramaniam for providing to parties.
Investigation uncovered that Subramaniam was himself giving drugs to rave parties straightforwardly by means of his contacts, a considerable lot of whom were in contact with him through online networking.
