Teenager dies after being hit by a speeding bus

Vittal: A teenager died after a speeding bus hit his two-wheeler near Kalladka. The deceased has been identified as Mohan (18), a resident of Anantanadi village and was employed at a tyre shop at Mani.

On June 8th, a speeding private bus plying from Mangaluru towards Vittal rammed head-on into Mohan’s two-wheeler at Kalladka. The force of the impact hurled Mohan on to the road inflicting grievous injuries to his head and limbs. Mohan was on his way to work when the accident occurred.

The injured Mohan was rushed to the district government Wenlock Hospital, but he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday evening at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Shivananda Shetty, a passerby at the time of the incident filed a complaint in this regard with Vittal police.
