Bengaluru: South Bangalore’s Member of Parliament Tejaswi Surya, who made his maiden Lok Sabha speech on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the rise of new India in which youth from a middle-class family can become the voice of youngsters in the Lok Sabha.

Tejaswi Surya at his maiden Lok Sabha speech said that the is thankful for being allowed to sit and speak in the hallowed halls of the Parliament once graced by greats like Sardar Patel, Rajaji, Ambedkar and Vajpayee.

Following his speech at Lok Sabha, he tweeted, ” The most important and irreversible change that India has witnessed under PM Narendra Modi ji is the proud revival of our cultural & civilisational identity. Young Indians today are not apologetic about wearing their Hindu identity up their sleeve.”

In another tweet, he said, ” My first speech in the Lok Sabha.

This is the rise of #NewIndia under PM @narendramodi where a youngster from a middle-class family can be the voice of the young in Lok Sabha.

Thank you PM Modi & @AmitShah Ji for giving me this opportunity.

Thank you Bengaluru South! 🙂 ”
