Three killed in van-motorcycle collision in UP

Banda (UP): A pick-up van collided head-on with a motorcycle on the Belatal-Lamaura road in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district, killing three persons, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday under Panwadi police station, said N. Kolanchi, Superintendent of Police (Mahoba).
Hari Chand (60), Shivwati (55) and an unidentified person, travelling on the motorcycle, were killed on the spot, he said. The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem, the SP said. The driver fled the scene after the accident and efforts are on to nab him, the SP added.
