Train services between M’luru-B’luru to be delayed for another week

Mangaluru: Train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru will be delayed for another ten days.
Following the torrential rains on August 8, in Subrahmanya, Sakleshpur and Hassan, multiple landslides occurred blocking the tracks. Hills caved in on both sides of the tracks near Yedakumeri railway station, damaging the tracks. Water pressure also made the tracks uneven and presently, repair and restoration work is being conducted.
However, the repair work if being affected due to the continuous heavy rains here and hence the train services may be delayed.
