‘Captured’ Indian Bison dies; tranquilliser overdose alleged

Mangaluru: An Indian Bison which strayed into the human habitation here earlier in the day died of heart attack hours after it was captured by forest department officials.
Panic gripped people after the bison was spotted roaming in the streets of the city and forest department officials were pressed into action.
The bison was tranquillised and caught and was later shifted to the Pilikula sanctuary. It is now alleged that overdose of the tranquilliser might have caused the death.
