Mumbai: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan took to social media to share his opinion on the clashes between the police and students of Jamia Millia Islamia University and Aligarh Muslim University.
The ‘War’ actor tweeted, “As a parent and a citizen of India, I am deeply saddened by the unrest across Various educational institutions of our Country. I hope and pray for peace to return as soon as possible. Great teachers learn from their students. I salute the world’s youngest democracy.”

Hritik’s tweet grabbed the attention of everyone on social media as they started trolling him for calling India as the world’s youngest democracy while pointing out that Tunisia is the world’s youngest democracy.
India is not the world’s youngest democracy. And people are increasingly worried about how long we will remain one.

Sir please take light
You don’t even know the difference between the words youngest and largest, expecting you to comment intelligently on the current difficult situation in India (world’s LARGEST democracy btw) is foolish
Thanks for trying though. 2/100 for effort— Revs 🙂 (@Full_Meals) December 18, 2019
Professionally, Hrithik had two releases this year which turned out to be blockbusters at the box office.
