Dating was all about dinners, meeting at cute cafes, and other outdoor activities but with the pandemic, meeting people has been replaced with dating apps, video calls, and Netflix parties.
A Twitter user sparked a conversation online as they wanted to go back to the ‘old-fashioned way of dating.’
@jzux in a tweet wrote, “Deleting my dating apps because I want to meet someone the old fashioned way (he sells me onions, I sell him jars of spiced peaches).”
The tweet referred to a 1998 Young Adult novel Holes, where a boy named Sam exchanges his onions with one of the protagonists for a jar of peaches.

Connections are build offline. But why do you think we as a generation have become so much obsessed with love? As if we feel a sense of failure, it’s media that has implanted these thoughts in our mind.
