Udayavani organizes ‘Chinnara Banna’ drawing competition in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Udayavani in collaboration with the Artists’ Forum, Udupi held ‘Chinnara Banna’, a district-level drawing competition for children on Sunday at the Bhuvanendra Sabha Bhavan of Canara High School, Mangaluru.

The taluk level drawing competion was held from October 29-October 30 in 16 taluks of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The final round of the competition was held today and around 144 children who won in the sub-junior, junior and senior category participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the event, C S Bhandari, regional researcher, Bristish Biologicals said, ” Nurturing children’s creative abilities will help them a lot in the future. Udayavani Chinnara Banna is the best learning platform for children. I congratulate Udayavani team who has been successfully organising the event for the last several years.”

Udayavani Vice President Ramachandra Mijar welcomed the gathering. President of Artist Forum, Udupi Ramesh Rao, Senior Member Shaku Pangala, Udayavani Regional Manager, Satish Manjeshwar were present.

A prize distribution ceremony for the winners of Taluk-level competion was held.

Udayavani Managing Director and CEO Vinod Kumar, Padma Shri Awardee Harekala Hajabba, Canara High School Association Honorary Secretary Ranganath Bhat, Modern Kitchen General Manager Sudhindra Kamath and Hangyo Manager (Operation) Rakesh Kamath were also present at the event.
