Udupi: Daily wage earner donates part savings to food charity

Udupi: A domestic worker here has donated Rs 5,000 to two organisation providing food to the needy.
The Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti and the Aasare Charitable Trust have been distributing food packets to the destitute in the city and its surroundings since March 25 when the lockdown began.
The woman, Manjula Keradi, arrived at the Sri Sharadha Kalyana Mantapa where the charities prepare the food packets and donated her amount to the workers there.
In another such case of charity, a retired teacher of the Kadiyali Higher Primary School donated her one month’s pension to the food charity.
