Udupi: DC instructs officials to be ready for any eventuality due to ‘Omicron’

Udupi: Soon after the news that two cases of Omicron were reported from Bengaluru, the Udupi district Commissioner Kurma Rao M has instructed officials to be ready for any eventuality due to the pandemic. He also instructed officials to restart the pre-emptive measures to contain the spread of the disease.

In a meeting held on Thursday, officials were instructed to restart the quarantine and isolation facilities in the district for those who are found to be Covid positive.

Ready the Covid Care Centres

The Dc also instructed officials to ready the Covid Care Centres as a precautionary measure. He said the concerned committees should collect and update the information regarding the availability of oxygen/non-oxygen beds, ICU beds and information about their management.

 

The officials were also instructed to designate zones where 3 or 4 cases are found as micro-containment zone, and sealing down houses with multiple active covid cases.
