Udupi: Employee cheats woman of Rs 3.5 lakh; case filed

Udupi: A 28-year-old woman, who runs a business in Manipal has filed a complaint against her employee alleging that he cheated her of Rs 3.5 Lakhs.
Tabassum (28), daughter of Ismail Saheb has sought action against the accused Mohammed Rafiq (45) for cheating and betrayal of her trust.
It is said that Tabassum runs a business named, Heena Enterprises, in Manipal and Mohammed Rafiq worked for her and also stayed in her house.
Mohammed borrowed Rs 3,50,000 from Tabassum and promised to return the amount soon. After he failed to repay, Tabassum demanded the money from Mohammed.
He grew angry, came to the house of the complainant and said that he would not pay her money. He also challenged Tabassum to take action against him. As per the complaint, he used filthy words against her and assaulted her.
A case under different sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered in the Manipal police station.
