Udupi: Raid on brothel, Two women rescued; Four arrested

Udupi: The police officials on Friday raided a brothel running out of a lodge at the Service Bus stand complex, Udupi and rescued two women.

The lodge, Yathri Nivas, was raided by a team led by sub inspector Jayanth M of Udupi Women’s Police Station and Pramod Kumar, SHO, city police station.

Police arrested four people including two customers Hemanth Kumar (24), Sandeep Mogaveera (31) and Gururaj (30), Vijay Shetty (26) for conducting flesh trade in two rooms of the lodge.

It is said that lodge owner Ramesh Shetty was also involved in the illegal activity.

Five mobiles, Rs 2850 in cash and condoms were seized by the police.
