Udupi: Seven-year-old boy drowns in pond while playing

Udupi: A seven-year-old drowned in a pond while playing on Saturday, May 21 near Keramata, Udupi.

The deceased has been identified as Raghava, son of Girish Upadhyaya.

It is said that on Saturday evening he went to play near Keramata pond but did not return. His parents began searching for the boy but could not find him.

On Sunday, May 22, Raghava’s clothes and footwear were found near the pond. Diving experts were called in   and the boy’s mortal remains were brought at 10.30 AM from the bottom of the pond.

A case has been registered in Malpe police station.
