Ullal: The CCTV camera which was installed near Someshwar following the rise in sand mafia cases has been damaged.

The district administration had installed CCTV cameras near Talapady, Kotepura, and a few other places in order to curb the sand smuggling.

On September 10, a tipper lorry, allegedly belonging to the smugglers, purposefully hit the pole on which the CCTV was installed near Someshwar. Due to the impact of the accident, the CCTV has been damaged completely.

However, the incident has been recorded.
