Undeclared state of emergency in the country: Nagamohan Das

Nanthoor: An attempt has begun to destroy institutions which are like the foundation pillars of democracy. In other words, it is like a state of emergency being faced by the people, said retired judge H N Nagamohan Das, expressing his concerns.

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Jana Nudi’ programme organized by Abhimata Mangaluru at Shantikiran hall at Bajjodi Nanthoor.

Institutions like RBI and CBI are facing interference. Considering the present situation, the judgement has to be given like this; if the judgment is given against it will not be accepted, is the kind of pressure being implemented on the justice system which is terrifying. Same kind of pressure is being implemented in the case of Ayodhya case too, he regretted.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Prakash Rai said,” Using religion in politics is dangerous. A president of a national party has used Shabarimala case politically. Taking this as a weapon to grow politically in Kerala, they are making use of the belief here,” he said.

I have only one voter ID: Rai

“I have only one voter ID. Some people are making false allegations against me for political benefits,” informed Bollywood actor Rai responding to the question by the media on the allegation that he had three voter ID’s. “Some people might have given the complaint based on misinformation. If they have evidence, let them prove it,” he challenged.
