Uppinangady: MESCOM worker electrocuted while fixing power line

Uppinangady: A MESCOM worker electrocuted to death while repairing a power line in Kalleri village in Belthangdy on Saturday, June 27.
The deceased is identified as Basavaraj Kattapara(25), hailing from Indi Taluk in the Vijayapura district.
It is gathered that there were power issues near Piligood Hunase Katte and Basavraj climbed the electric pole to repair. However, he was electrocuted while he was working and fell from the pole. The localities have taken him to a Uppinangady Hospital and he succumbed to injuries.
Basavraj was working in MESCOM for the past 4 years as a power man.
