Bengaluru: Pro Kannada outfit, Kannada Vatal Paksha president Vatal Nagaraj said that the statewide bandh called today on June 12 failed due to media following its irresponsibility to support the bandh properly. Speaking in a press meet held at town hall in the state capital today, Vatal Nagaraj said he will continue with his protest to provide justice to the farmers in the state even if today’s bandh failed to get proper support from the people.
“We will continue with our fight urging the state government to take necessary steps to solve water issues of the farmers in the state immediately. Karnataka government has remained silent even if Marathi in Belagavi and Malayalam in Kasaragod of Kerala state forcefully implemented among the Kannadigas. The state government should take language and water issues seriously to protect the interest of Kannadigas”, Vatal Nagaraj added.
Pro Kannada outfits led by Kannada Vatal Paksha President Vatal Nagaraj called for Karnataka Bandh on June 12 urging the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the water issues of the state including Kalasa Banduri, Cauvery, Mekedatu and issues of Gadinadu Kannadigas to solve them immediately.
