White Doves provide food to needy; create awareness on social distancing

Mangaluru: The poor, especially daily wage labourers and the homeless are the worst-affected as a result of the lockdown orders issued by the central government.

Many such people are seen around Nehru Maidan, Kankanady bus station, Urwa Maidan bus stand in the city as well in surrounding area of Wenlock hospital. Meanwhile quite a few social organisations have come forward to help these people by arranging food parcels – pulao, egg curry rice, or ganji meals etc. for them.

One among these organisations is White Doves, an NGO which is into the social service arena for last 21 years. Speaking to reportes Corine Rasquinha, founder of White Doves said that the organisation was providing three meals to the homeless and poor amid the lock down.

The organisation members also created awareness among people on social distancing while distributing the food kits.
