Will remember fondly, says Kateel after being felicitated by Muslim organisations

Mangaluru: Expressing his gratitude to Muslim organisations for being elected BJP state president, Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday, September 3 said that he will fondly remember this particular felicitation for a long time to come.
Speaking at the felicitation program, organised at Hotel Ocean Pearl here, Kateel thanked people for maintaining faith in him and assured of fulfilling their expectations.
“Muslims honoring me might come as a shock for few people. It is the vote-bank politics that created a rift among Hindus and Muslims. In earlier times both the communities shared a good bonding,” he said adding that Muslim organizations have increased his responsibility through the felicitation.
“From a common BJP representative to being elected state BJP president has been possible because of your love and affection,” he said while adding that he will continue to work for the district’s development.
Addressing the gathering Yenepoya University Chancellor Abdulla Kunhi said that Kateel is known to address people problems and he has earned the post because of his ability.
Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Abdul Hameed, Beary’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry president S M Rasheed, president of Ullal Durgah Abdul Rasheed were among those present.
