Woman kills daughter, commits suicide along with parents

Bengaluru: In a gruesome incident, woman killed her daughter and later committed suicide along with her parents on Monday, November 12 within Vidyaranyapura police station limits.
The deceased have been identified as Sudharani (29), her daughter Sonika (6) and her parents Janardhan (52), Sumitra (45).
In her death note, Sudharani has written that no one was responsible for their deaths. It further mentions that they had made a payment of Rs 25 lakhs to a broker in order to purchase a house. However, the broker died in an accident shortly after and their efforts to recover the amount went in vain. Depressed over the situation Sudharani and her parents are said to have considered committing suicide. Accordingly on Saturday night, her father Janardhan and mother Sumitra committed suicide by consuming poison. Later, Sudharani suffocated her daughter Monica to death and committed suicide herself.
Their bodies were shifted to Victoria hospital for postmortem.
A case has been registered with Vidyaranyapura police.
