Yaksha Sambhrama-2023: Bahrain-Saudi unit of Yaksha Dhruva Patla Foundation celebrates third anniversary

The Bahrain-Saudi Arabia unit of the Yaksha Dhruva Patla Foundation is gearing up to celebrate its third anniversary with an event titled ‘Yaksha Sambhrama-2023.’ The program is scheduled for the 20th and will commence at 5 p.m. at the Kannada Bhavan Auditorium in Manama.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, a performance of ‘Manishada,’ directed by Yakshaguru Deepak Rao Pejavara, and Abhinava Valmiki Late Sri Bottikere Purushottama Poonja will take center stage. This rendition will feature guest artists from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, as well as renowned figures in the field, such as accomplished chenda player Rohit Uchila, Yakshachandrike Shashikant Shetty from Karkala, and Yakshamayura Shekhar.D. Shettigar from Dubai. Notably, Yakshadhruva Shri Patla Satish Shetty will captivate Yaksha enthusiasts with his enthralling performance.

The program’s Chief Guest will be Shashidhar Shetty Baroda, Chief Convener of Yaksha Dhruva Patla Foundation. Also, the wife of Late Sri Bottikere Purushottama Poonja who has made significant contributions to the world of Yakshagana will be the guest of honor.
