‘Yellow Alert’: IMD forecasts thunderstorms; erratic weather to continue in K’taka coast

Mangaluru: The weather in the coastal districts of Karnataka continues to be erratic with scorching heat and sunshine during the day and mild to moderate showers during evening hours.

The similar weather is expected to continue. The meteorological department has sounded a ‘Yellow Alert’ throughout the Karnataka coast. The department said similar conditions will prevail over the region for at least one more week.

During the next week, there is a high possibility of local rains with thunder and lightning in the Karavali coast and Malnad region, IMD has said.

As per the data, Mangaluru recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degrees celsius and a maximum of 34.2 degreed celsius.
