Youth booked under POSCO

Karkala: Karkala town police have booked a 19-year-old youth under the POSCO Act for alleged raping and impregnating a minor girl.

The accused has been identified as Akshat.

The victim, aged 17, was found at Akshat’s residence by personnel of the police and Child Protection Unit. It is said that the Akshat and the victim had entered into marriage.

The victim, who is in the fourth term of her pregnancy is now staying with her parents.
