Youth clubbed to death at Bajpe

Yedapadav: A youth died after he was attacked with a wooden club by a gang in connection to an earlier grudge near Dhumachadavu bus stop at Mijar Daddi cross within Bajpe police station limits. The deceased is identified as Naveen (35), a resident of Badaha Yedapadavu.
Incident synopsis
It is said that Naveen had consumed alcohol on Friday night and had a fight with the gang. Late in the night around 11pm, a fight once again broke out between Naveen and the gang on a silly reason near Dhumachadavu bus stop. At 11:50pm in the night, Naveen was attacked with a wooden club and other weapons and the attackers vacated the spot even as Naveen collapsed into a pool of blood.
The information regarding the crime reached Bajpe police station but by the time the police rushed to the spot, Naveen had already breathed his last. The victim’s head was struck with such force that his brain had popped out of his skull.
It is said that the crime was committed by local residents Ramesh alias Pongu and Nityananda alias Dubli. It is suspected that the motive behind the crime was the anger they had against the victim.
A case has been registered at Bajpe police station and the cops are hunting the accused. The corpse has been shifted to mortuary of Wenlock government hospital.
