‘Zoos of Karnataka’: Govt’s app for online animal adoption

Mysuru: On the occasion of World Tiger Day the Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) will be launching a mobile phone application ‘Zoos of Karnataka’ on Wednesday, July 29.
The application will enable the people to contribute for conservation education, rescue, relief and rehabilitation of wild animals.
The titular head of the erstwhile Mysore Royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will dedicate the app online at Mysuru. Karnataka Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Anand Singh will also be present at the virtual event. Those interested can join virtually, through smartphones or laptops, by clicking the link https://meet.google.com/fik-xrnb-hfw.
Speaking with this regard BP Ravi, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, said, “The app will be useful in online animal adoption and donations to all nine zoos of Karnataka, for any amount starting from Rs 50.”
The Zoo Authority of Karnataka is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1960.
