Udupi/Kerala: Kiran Udyavar, secretary of National Congress Fishermen Committee raised the issue of the missing deep sea trawl boat ‘Suvarna Tribhuja’ and its crew of seven fishermen at the Fishermen Parliament (NFP) held at Thriprayar in Kerala on March 14.

Speaking at the occasion Kiran said, “89 days have passed since they went missing but there is not a single clue. State government has worked hard on this case, but Union government is doing nothing in order to finding the missing seven fishermen. Their families are in grief and have decided to voluntarily boycott Lok Sabha elections.”

Calling Modi a fake Kiran said, “He had said that he will send armed forces to find the fishermen. However, today he seems to have forgotten the incident. Why has he not succeeded in locating the missing boat? He used to say he will attack Pakistani terrorists and their camps. Let him do our work first. Let him put effort in finding those seven lives,” he demanded.

Responding to Kiran’s questions, AICC president Rahul Gandhi said that he will send a letter to Narendra Modi to speed up the search operations.

“It is true that Modi has no concern about farmers and fishermen and weaker sections. His first priority is towards Ambani, Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi. Modi is protecting these capitalists,” alleged Gandhi.

“Modi government is for the capitalists while Congress supports weaker sections, poor people and the farmers. Though I am in the opposition party, I can publicize this matter,” assured Rahul Gandhi.
