Schools will remain close during Karnataka Bandh

Bengaluru: Several private schools and State government offices are expected to be closed on Thursday owing to the Karnataka bandh called by various organisations against the “Centre’s apathy” towards the Mahadayi dispute.
Schools, colleges, state government offices are likely to remain closed on Thursday due to Karnataka Bandh.
The associated managements of schools in Karnataka has sent an advisory to all the schools in the State to remain closed on Thursday and keep a full day on Saturday to compensate for it.
The Education Department, however, has said it is up to the deputy commissioners of respective districts to take a decision based on the situation there.
