CM Kumaraswamy meets farmer representatives

Bengaluru: Acting on their promise of farm loan waiver, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara conducted a meeting on Wednesday, seeking the suggestions of farmer representatives from 30 districts. The representatives welcome the proposal of farm loan waiver and requested that all types of loans borrowed from national commercial banks and cooperative banks be waived.
The Chief Minister said that he has obtained sufficient information about farm loans and the opinions of farmers, but will take a decision after consulting the Congress. He is expected to announce the government’s decision on loan waiver by this evening.
