Cabinet expansion may not happen now

Bengaluru: The JD(S)- Congress state cabinet won’t be extended anytime in the near future, sources have said. However, the designation of presidents for state corporation boards will happen soon. 

At present, six ministerial positions are empty under the Congress. In excess of twelve senior MLAs are campaigning to get incorporated into the service. They are likewise demonstrating their strength through their supporters. In any case, Congress high summon has cautioned that it won’t move to weights of this nature by its party MLAs. It is likewise learnt that the Congress high command has taken a decision not to extend the cabinet for the next six months. 

Amidst these development, it has been decided to complete the main phase of designation of presidents for the state organizations and boards. According to the decision that was taken in the party of the coordination committee, Congress will get 20 of the 30 vacancies of boards and corportions, while the JD(S) will get 10.
