Chikamagalur: Man dies falling off a coconut tree

Chikmagalur: In a tragic incident a 24-year-old youth fell to death from a coconut tree here on Tuesday, March 16 in Heradike village in Kalasa in the district here.

The deceased identified as Mahesh had climbed the coconut tree in the vicinity of his house to fetch coconuts. However, he is said to have lost his balance and fell from a height of 40 feet. He was rushed to Kalasa hospital by his family, but he lost his life on the way.

A case has been registered regarding the incident. Police have continued the probe.
