Bidar: Bidar district became the first district in the State to be declared completely free of COVID-19 infections.

On Thursday, September 2, no new cases were reported and all patients undergoing treatment in hospitals, COVID Care Centres and homes have recovered.

The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the district from both the waves combined is 24,300 out of which 23,898 patients recovered and 398 succumbed to the virus.

Bidar reports a high number of vaccinations with 7,54,223 vaccinations done to date, which could be a reason for its success in beating the virus.
