Twenty-four-year-old Quran McCain, an American, has a 61-year-old girlfriend Cheryl McGregor.
Despite getting negative comments about their massive age gap, the two married on September 3 in an intimate ceremony.
According to Daily Mail, their union is quite unconventional. Cheryl has 17 grandchildren, and she met McCain when he was just fifteen years old. The couple claims that the romance did not start when they met, but rather blossomed when McCain grew up. He and Cheryl used to shoot videos together for TikTok.
The wedding was streamed on their TikTok account. The bride walked down the aisle in a white wedding dress with a laced bodice. Quran dressed up in an off-white suit and had dyed his hair and beard for the occasion.
Quran was quoted as saying by LADbible, “We were live on TikTok for the wedding. We had the wedding in Tennessee. My best friends were there and we went to bones BBQ joint after and got a very good meal,”
Quran proposed to Cheryl on July 31 with a ring.
Three of Cheryl’s seven children approve of the couple’s relationship. Quran’s family is supportive of their union.
