China appears to have discovered a solution to the age-old problem of frustrated and restless husbands on long shopping trips by women.
For ladies who wish to be away from their husbands while shopping, a Chinese mall has provided ‘husband storage’ pods.
The installation was created at Shanghai’s Global Harbour Mall. The pods are essentially a series of glass enclosures that can hold one person.
It’s mostly intended for people who dislike being hauled through shopping malls.
The pods aren’t just empty spaces to pass the time. They include a chair, a display, a gamepad, and a variety of classic games to keep folks entertained.
All users can play the games inside the pods for free right now. However, they may soon be required to scan a QR code and pay a nominal fee for enjoyment.
The concept has sparked a lot of debate on Chinese social media.
