Reddy a no-nonsense officer with vast experience, excellent attitude: Former top cop

Bengaluru: A day after Karnataka government appointed C H Pratap Reddy as Bengaluru police commissioner, the former top cop Bhaskar Rao said that the 1991 batch IPS officer is a no-nonsense officer with vast experience and excellent attitude.
Taking to Twitter Bhaskar Rao wrote, “Citizens are thankful to Sh Kamal Pant for dignified patience and support to victims of cyber fraud.
“Pratap Reddy, the incoming Commissioner is a No-nonsense officer with vast experience and an excellent attitude. Good for Bengaluru and Service,” he added.

The Karnataka government on May 16 transferred Bengaluru police commissioner Kamal Pant and appointed C H Pratap Reddy in his place.
Reddy is from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and has been serving as the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order).
During the recent communal violence in Hubballi where the police vehicles were torched, Reddy had supervised the investigation and the arrest of the accused.
Pant will serve as the Director General of Police of recruitment relieving R Hitendra from the concurrent charge.
