PM Modi visit: Holiday declared for Schools & Colleges, Exams postponed

Bengaluru: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city, a holiday has been declared for schools and colleges along the route of the PM’s cavalcade.

The Education Department has taken the step on the recommendation from the police department to prevent traffic snarls and for adhering to the security protocol for the Prime Minister.

Schools and colleges around IISc, Goragunte Palya, CMTI, Outer Ring Road, Dr. Rajkumar Studio, Laggere, Nayandahalli, Mysuru Road, RV College, Nagarabhavi, Sumanhalli bridge, MCI Junction, Govardhan Theater, Yashwantpur, and Jakkur Aerodrome will remain closed.

The university exams scheduled for Monday have been canceled and fresh dates will be announced soon, Bengaluru Univerity said. The university declared the holiday for all its classes on campus.
