Hebri-Malpe highway will be toll free: Shobha Karandlaje

Hebri: Toll is collected at all national highways across the state, but the four-lane road from Malpe to Hebri will be a toll-free highway, said Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje on Friday.
She was speaking near Perdur Temple after laying the foundation stone for the Rs 369 crores project for four-laning of Highway 169A along Hebri-Parkala-Karavali Bypass -Malpe.
It has been a long-standing demand to expand the road to Malpe. It’s now being implemented, Karandlaje said. It is aimed to finish the work within 2 years, she added.

Udupi MLA Raghapathi Bhat, BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Devu Poojary, and others were present.
